Cooks With Collars Has Raised More than $30,000 for Catholic Charities, Thanks to the Program's Sponsors

While priests from parishes around the Diocese were busy baking, boiling, and braising to make mouth-watering cooking videos, the sponsors of Cooks With Collars were quietly and generously doing their part to support Catholic Charities.

Sponsors of this year’s Cooks With Collars are Bennett Automotive Group, Anthony and Evelyn Carfagno, the intellectual property law firm of Design IP, and The Topper Foundation.

Cooks With Collars raises money for Catholic causes in two ways: Donations made by people “voting” for their favorite cooking videos stay with that parish, while donations made by program sponsors go straight to Catholic Charities.

So far, sponsorships from Cooks With Collars have raised more than $30,000 to support the ministries of Catholic Charities in the five counties of the Diocese.

“It’s very inspiring and a lot of fun to see so many individuals voting to support their own Pastors and parishes,” said Paul Acampora, Executive Director of Stewardship and Development. “Together, their efforts also create a very special opportunity for Catholic Charities to make a difference in the lives of thousands of individuals and families throughout the Diocese of Allentown.”

Cooks With Collars began Jan. 28 and runs through March 1. There is still time to take a culinary tour of the parishes of the Diocese – and to vote for your favorite priests to support their parishes – at www.CooksWithCollars.com.
