Diocesan Corpus Christi Celebration to be at St. Ambrose

The Solemnity of Corpus Christi celebrates the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist, and in this Year of the Real Presence, Bishop Alfred Schlert will preside over the diocesan celebration at Saint Ambrose Parish in Schuylkill Haven.

The Mass begins at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, June 6, followed immediately by the traditional Eucharistic Procession, with the Most Blessed Sacrament held in a Monstrance, moving out the doors of the church, around the parking lot, and to a temporary altarset up on the front steps of the rectory.

All are invited to join the celebration either in person, at 201 Randel Street, or via livestream on the parish YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBB3QeJ_gI0aeQGbrBv5Xxg) or the parish website, (https://www.stambrosehaven.com/).

“Saint Ambrose is pleased to host this important celebration in the heart of the diocesan Year of the Real Presence,” said Monsignor Edward Zemanik, Pastor.

The Year of the Real Presence is a time for the faithful to rededicate themselves to, and to reaffirm their belief in, the presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. The year also is a time for people to rejoice in the gift of their own presence at Mass with families, friends, and clergy.
