Kutztown Newman Center and Riggins to host ‘Called21’ conference this summer

Called21 is the largest national conference offered solely for professional Catholic campus ministers. Featuring over two dozen workshops from leaders in the field of higher education, evangelization, priestly formation and mental health, Called21 is grateful to be hosted at Kutztown University's Newman Center through the Diocese of Allentown.

The Newman Center will serve as "Called HQ" while the rest of the event will occur online.

Keynote speakers will include Dr. Ted Sri, Dr. Jean Twenge, Mary Bielski and Father Michael Martin, O.F.M. Conv.

The event will provide various learning tracks, as well as wraparound events on priest-chaplains and student mental health. “The Diocese of Allentown is committed to Catholic campus ministry and was a natural place to go as the host site for this year's Called event,” said the executive director of CCMA.

Riggins, along with Doris Barrow, director of mission advancement for CCMA, will serve as the live hosts.

“It is quite an honor to be a host for the national conference,” said Riggins. “I have attended many conferences in the past and they have greatly assisted in my formation as a professional campus minister. I hope that I am able to help provide a meaningful experience for all participants.”
