Newlywed and engaged couples in the Diocese of Allentown shared a special night when the Office of Marriage and Family Life and the Natural Family Planning Task Force co-hosted “Holy Love Happy Hour for Newlywed and Engaged Couples” at Fox & Finch Studio, Fountain Hill.
The event, which was open to engaged and newly married couples, and couples married for less than 10 years, encouraged anyone ages 21 to 35 to attend with their spouse or soon-to-be spouse.
Couples enjoyed an evening of fellowship, drinks, and appetizers in a relaxed setting.
Guest speakers Pete and Tricia DeMaio reflected on marriage and family life centered on Christ. The goal of the event was to provide support in the early years of marriage by creating opportunities for connection with other couples.
Throughout the evening, couples reflected on how to grow together in faith and the importance of community within marriage.
Emphasizing the importance of Christ in marriage, the event also connected attendees with diocesan resources, including the Natural Family Planning Task Force, for couples seeking to live out Church teaching on marriage and family life.
The evening provided couples with a balance of applicable knowledge for their vocations and a sense of community.
