Bishop Condemns Washington Violence, Prays for Orderly and Peaceful Transition of Power

“Yesterday’s attack on our national legislature at the Capitol in Washington, D.C. was unconscionable,” said Bishop Alfred Schlert.

“As people of God, we pray for an orderly and peaceful transition of power, which is our American tradition.

“We ask the intercession of Mary, the Immaculate Conception, our national Patroness, to guard and protect us.”
