On September 23, the Women's Alliance of the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena will present the Cathedral Antique Treasure Show including live and silent auctions, professional appraisals and evaluations, a variety of unique items for sale, plus, wine, beer, hors d'oeuvres, coffee, and dessert.
“I am excited and grateful for all our volunteers who want the Cathedral to be a vibrant and special community for local parishioners and for the entire Diocese,” says Monsignor Donald Cieniewicz, Pastor for the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena. “Plus, we all love the Antique Roadshow, so I think the Women’s Alliance plan is a winner.”
“We are all looking forward to a great night,” says Deanna Bushner, President of the Cathedral Women’s Alliance. “Our auction items include some remarkable treasures, and the professional appraisers from Saucon Valley Auction and Searchlight Auction say we should expect something delightful and unexpected from people who bring items from home.”
Evaluations are available for those who register in advance for a cost of $20. Walk-in evaluations will also be available on a first-come first-serve basis for a cost of $25. Deadline for advance registration is September 15.
“Our Cathedral is the seat for our Bishop and a place of worship for every Catholic in the Diocese of Allentown,” says Monsignor Cieniewicz. “It is also a local parish for the friends and neighbors who see the Cathedral as their home. Their creativity and hard work is a great gift to all of us.”
Antique Treasure Show tickets, which are $25 in advance or $30 at the door, are available now via email (mab77@ptd.net) or by calling the Cathedral Office at 610-433-6461. You can also find more information online at www.cathedral-church.org and on the Cathedral Facebook page (@allentowncathedral).
