The Diocese of Allentown is now home to the event series, “Cor Jesu” for Catholic young adults. The event originated in Wisconsin at St. Robert, Milwaukee. Inspired by Cor Jesu, Robert Johnson, Director of Evangelization and Formation at the Diocese of Allentown, decided to organize a similar gathering. With the help of Father Philip Maas (assistant pastor at St. Thomas More in Allentown) the series offers weekly Eucharistic Adoration and Mass at St. Ursula’s in Bethlehem.
Cor Jesu kicked off last Thursday, Dec. 7th at 7 p.m., and welcomed fifty young men and women for an evening of peaceful prayer and contemplation. Adoration featured praise and worship, led by guitar. Confession was offered during Adoration. Mass featured a schola choir.
The event will continue at the same place and time on Dec. 14th and 21st. We encourage all young adults in the Diocese to attend.
