Discussion on Religion and Youth to Begin Catholic Foundation’s Conversations Forum

A national report focusing on how young Catholics engage with their religion and faith will be the topic of an upcoming “conversation” on Zoom hosted by the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania.

The Zoom event is the first in the Catholic Foundation’s new program series, “Conversations with Caring Catholics,” a forum presenting thought-provoking topics to stimulate conversations among Catholics about the future of our faith.

“Conversation #1: The State of Religion & Young People,” will be held at 4 p.m., Thursday, March 25, 2021, featuring Dr. Josh Packard, Executive Director of Springtide Research. The report dissects how young people seek and express faith, and their religious beliefs and practices. The report also offers actionable steps religious leaders can take to engage with and positively impact the lives of young people.

Dr. Packard will highlight findings and voices from Catholic young people, and how they compare to the broader population of young people. It will be followed by a Q&A session.

The Catholic Foundation works with institutions and individuals to create endowment funds that generate perpetual income and provide financial stability so parishes, schools and Catholic ministries may fulfill their missions forever. During the past three years, the Catholic Foundation has communicated with thousands of Catholics in the community to understand more about the Catholic causes that are important to them and how they may be sustained for the future.
