On May 6, an explosive device detonated inside the Perpetual Adoration Chapel at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Mahanoy City. No one was injured, and the suspect has been apprehended. Still, the Chapel, a place of prayer, comfort, and healing must remain closed pending costly repairs.
In response, the Diocese of Allentown has established a special St. Teresa Recovery Fund to assist the parish community to recover and rebuild their Chapel.
To support the rebuilding efforts, please consider donating at https://www.allentowndiocese.org/SaintTeresaRecovery
Your generosity will help restore a sacred place of prayer and Adoration, and bring healing to a community shaken by this evil act.
