Faith, Purpose, and Promise: Celebrating the Class of 2026

The Diocese of Allentown proudly celebrates the achievements of the Class of 2026, a remarkable group of young men and women who have distinguished themselves not only through academic success, but through faith, service, and a commitment to building a better future.

This year, 667 seniors across our six diocesan high schools embarked on the final chapter of their secondary education, with an outstanding 99% graduation rate – a testament to perseverance, strong support systems, and the shared mission of Catholic education.

A Legacy of Academic Excellence

The Class of 2026 demonstrated exceptional academic achievement. Over 92% of graduates are continuing their education at two- or four-year colleges, with the majority enrolling in four-year institutions.

Their ambitions span a wide range of fields – medicine, engineering, business, education, and more – reflecting both intellectual curiosity and a desire to serve others through their chosen vocations.

Perhaps most impressive is the extraordinary $102 million in college scholarships earned by this class. This milestone underscores not only academic talent, but also the dedication of families, teachers, and counselors who have guided these students along the way.

Many Paths, One Purpose

The Class of 2026 reflects the diversity of God’s call, with many graduates choosing other paths that fulfill their individual vocations, align with their God-given gifts, and allow them to realize their own aspirations.

Twelve students committed to military service, answering the call to protect and serve, and 17 plan to enter trade and technical programs, preparing for essential, skilled professions. Others have chosen to enter the workforce directly, take gap years, or return to their home countries with the formation they received in our schools.

Faith in Action

While academic success is a cornerstone of our schools, Catholic education is rooted in forming the whole person – mind, body, and spirit.

The Class of 2026 lived this mission in powerful ways: 53,476 hours of community service offered in just one year, and 659 students participating in retreats, deepening their relationship with Christ.

These numbers represent more than data points; they tell the story of students who fed the hungry, visited the elderly, supported their communities, and stepped away from busy lives to encounter God in meaningful ways.

Formed for the Future

The success of the Class of 2026 is not measured solely by statistics; it is found in who they have become. They are leaders shaped by Gospel values, servants committed to their communities, scholars prepared for lifelong learning, and disciples ready to carry their faith into the world.

As they leave our hallways, they carry with them the lessons of Catholic education: integrity, compassion, and understanding that their lives are meant to serve a greater purpose.

A Proud Future Ahead

To the Class of 2026: you are a source of great pride for our Diocese. You have embraced challenges, celebrated triumphs, and grown in faith and character. Wherever your journey leads – college campuses, workplaces, military service, or beyond – you go with the prayers and support of an entire Catholic community.

May you continue to seek truth, serve others, and live boldly in faith. Congratulations, Class of 2026. Your future is bright – and it is just beginning.
