Bishop Schlert and the Diocese of Allentown invite all the faithful to an afternoon of prayer honoring the Blessed Sacrament at the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena, Allentown on the feast of Corpus Christi, June 22, 2025, beginning at 2pm. All are welcome.
Eucharistic Adoration will take place from 2pm-3pm with Confession available. At 3pm, Eucharistic Preacher Reverend Frank DeSiano will lead a prayer service.
Father DeSiano served as a consultor for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Evangelization for more than a dozen years. He travels throughout America to preach on a variety of evangelization topics, seeking to bring new people to the Catholic faith and enliven the faith of existing Catholics. He has written numerous books on the Catholic faith focusing on evangelization and spirituality, including "New Perspectives," "Faith and Culture in Catholic Education," "Discovering My Experience of God," and "Reactivating Our Catholic Faith. "
Following the prayer service, Bishop Schlert will lead a Eucharistic Procession outside with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.
“It is my hope that the faithful of the Diocese of Allentown will take time to worship Our Lord, truly present in the Most Blessed Sacrament, on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi,” says Bishop Schlert. “We can never spend enough time adoring Our Lord and thanking Him for the gift of Himself.”
